James & Anna McCallion US census

1915 NY State census, living at 168 West 65th Street. James's occupation is Fireman:

1920 US Census, still 168 West 65th Street:

Pop's job is listed as Engineer, in the Hotel industry:

I almost don't want to look for the 1925 census, because we know of the tragedy in 1922 ...

1925 NY state census. Same address, Joseph and Anna have died. Pop is listed as an Engineer. Anna's name is wrong.

1930 US census. Now living at 105 West 94th Street:

This must be the worst handwriting of any census taker:

James is ??? in "City Dist".

James, his son, is "Telephone Co Clerk".

The date column to the left is Immigration Year. Both are wrong, should be 1910 & 1911.

1940 US Census. Now at 74 West 103rd Street.

Family must have moved to St Nicholas Ave shortly after.

USA Studios was NOT in the US, but had offices in London and Provinces, assuming in this case to be Ulster.

Based on the link above, this postcard was used by the studio between 1912 and 1915. James had already emigrated in 1910, Daniel and Michael by 1912.

Fran is Michael McCallion's granddaughter (James McCallion's grand niece):

James and Daniel, prior to going to America. Not sure who is who! I think first photo is Daniel, as the second photo looks like James.

Michael McCallion, Fran's grandfather. He died in a trolley accident in Manhattan, Dec 16, 1913.
