Thanks to Paul for this old postcard of the Murlog church, where James McCallion and Mary Hagney got married in 1874 and had all their childrens' baptisms. It was built in the 1700s.

McCallion Reunion
WOW, what an event!
Thanks so much to Michael and Bea for arranging this event, and to their daughter Jennifer for bringing it all together! (and Melissa too! and others!)
Thanks also to all those who traveled so far to be a part of this: Texas, Ireland, etc!
And special thanks to Michael for including those beyond the ancestors of James McCallion and Anne McBride, and to include the grandchildren of James' siblings:
- Paul McCallion, grandson of James' oldest brother John.
- Fran Miller and her sister Jean, both granddaughters of James' brother Michael.
- Stephen Meyler and Marina Meyler, grandchildren of James' sister Anne

Hagneys and Falcarragh
Paul McCallion visited the old Hagney home in Falcarragh, as well as the Hagney descendants that still live there. (I think this was Liam Hagney ... waiting for Paul to confirm)
Paul also mention other descendants: Michael Hagney from Rice Lake Wisconsin and Donna Colburn his sister also from Rice Lake. Need to research this further

John McBride of Dooish
We know from Griffith's Eval that there are two John McBrides in Dooish in 1850s, one on the land that now belongs to the McNeils.
We also know that John McBride & Ellen Harron are Anna McBride McCallion's grandparents.
But which John is which?
One John dies 1876 (Registration District is Stranolar):
Which one is our John?
We know 'our' James leaves his estate to his son-in-law, Henry McNulty:

"Mac Cailin - A Martial Clan"
Sister Maire had this in her collection of documents on the McCallion family.
It appears this article was published in "Donegal Annual 1981", which is published by "County Donegal Historical Society"
https://donegalhistory.ie/donegal-annual-1981/
If there was a link to the article I would use that. Instead posting images here.
Note the references to the 1608 rebellion is to O'Doherty's Rebellion:

References to Inis Eoghain is the current Inishowen peninsula.
Based on bottom of page 5, the town of RedCastle was the home of the original fort for Cathar Mhic Ailin ... sounds like it is time for a road trip! Paul? John? Kath?

Billy McCallion, 1952-2022
In honor of Billy McCallion, his family held a celebration of his life in NYC on January 6th. I know his nieces Lauren and Jennifer were a big part of organizing this, as well as his siblings, Michael and Beth (and perhaps more, there were a lot of McCallions!). It was great to see the many people who Billy knew and loved, both friends and family.
